Coswheel R19 — tested on mixed terrain in New Mexico, June 2026.
I'll be upfront: when Coswheel first sent us specs for the R19 — 124-mile range, 60mph top speed, 9000W motor for under $2,500 — I assumed the marketing team had gotten creative with numbers. It read too good. So I spent 30 days trying to disprove it.
I couldn't. The Coswheel R19 is the real deal — and right now it's the most capable electric dirt bike under $3,500 on the market, full stop.
What Is the Coswheel R19?
The R19 is Coswheel's flagship electric dirt bike, designed for riders who want serious off-road capability without the price tag of a Sur-Ron X or KTM Freeride. It runs a 72V lithium battery pack mated to a 9,000-watt hub motor — numbers that, on paper, rival bikes costing $5,000+.
It's street-capable in many states (check your local laws), has hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, adjustable front suspension, and ships with a genuine LCD display showing speed, battery level, and trip data. Build quality feels premium — not budget-tier.
Real-World Range Test
Manufacturer range claims are almost always optimistic. We test at a consistent 35–40mph on mixed terrain (60% dirt trail, 40% paved road) with a 175lb rider. That's the honest number most buyers care about.
Mixed Terrain (Our Test)
Full-Speed Road Run
Aggressive Off-Road
Charge Time (Empty→Full)
The 124-mile figure is achievable — but requires eco mode and moderate speeds. At full throttle on trails, expect 47–68 miles depending on terrain. Either way, this destroys the Sur-Ron Light Bee X's real-world 36-mile cap, and it costs $1,400 less.
Power & Performance
The 9000W peak output makes itself known immediately — the first time you hit full throttle you'll grab the bars tighter. Acceleration from 0–30mph is aggressive; 0–60 takes around 6 seconds in sport mode. For comparison, the Sur-Ron pulls similar sprint numbers but runs out of steam well before the R19.
Top speed of 60mph is confirmed — we hit 59.4mph on flat asphalt. Off-road, the real strength is the sustained torque on inclines. We climbed a 30-degree hill in dirt without losing momentum, which is where many 3,000W–5,000W bikes bog out.
Build Quality & Suspension
The aluminum alloy frame is solid with no flex under aggressive riding. Front suspension travel is 100mm — adequate for dirt trails but not purpose-built enduro. The hydraulic disc brakes (front 203mm, rear 180mm) are the highlight: they provide confident, progressive bite, and no fade was observed even on long descents.
Tires are knobby 70/100–19 front and 90/100–16 rear — real dirt tires, not the street-hybrid compromise you often see at this price. Weight comes in around 95lbs, which is light enough to maneuver but you'll feel it if you need to lift it.
Who Should (and Shouldn't) Buy the R19?
Buy it if: you want maximum range and power for the price, you ride dirt trails or mixed terrain regularly, and you don't need something ultra-light for technical singletrack.
Skip it if: you need a featherweight trials-style bike for technical maneuvering, or you exclusively ride in tight technical terrain where the 95lb weight becomes a liability. Also — verify your local laws before riding on public roads.

Final Verdict
The Coswheel R19 is the best value electric dirt bike on the market in 2026. It delivers real-world numbers that legitimate brands charge $4,000+ for, at a price that's hard to argue with. The range is genuine, the power is real, and the build quality justifies the price tag.
If you're in the market for an electric dirt bike under $3,000, the R19 should be the first — and probably last — bike you seriously consider. Check the current price and availability here.
